SOPS are the SciX Open Publishing Services

In 1995 the ITcon site was created in static HTML pages that had to be managed by a person skilled in HTML authoring, Web servers etc.

In the Scix project that was running between 2002 and 2004 the SciX Open Publishing Services were developed that allow for running various kins of electronic publications, including an electronic journal like ITcon. Nearly all pages that you will see are generated out of a database and are created by filling in various forms. A system for Web based submissions and reviewing is in the final stages of testing.
