summary This special issue of the Journal of Information Technology in Construction (ITcon) features a selection of special track papers initially presented at the 32nd International CIB W78 (Information Technology for Construction) conference on the topics related to Assessment and QA, Rule and Code Compliance Checking, and Compliance Checking in general. We thank all authors of the accepted papers in this special issue for their excellent contributions to the field.
